About Casper

Methodology

Coverage

Casper publishes a dated watchlist of U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. The current edition is based on the supplied research snapshot; inclusion in the broader watchlist is not a recommendation or a ranked setup.

Publishing

Each edition records a publication time and a separate levels-as-of time. Published editions are archived and are not silently rewritten.

Selection and ranking

Setups are ordered using the ranks in the source research. Missing market-wide comparisons are not inferred. Themes describe the investment context; status is tracked separately.

Terms

Trigger is the condition intended to activate a setup. Invalidation is the condition that breaks the setup. Target is a planned objective when one is supplied. Intraday and swing are separate horizons. The current source snapshot does not supply a formal default expiry policy, so Casper does not invent one.

Status

Watching means published but not recorded as triggered. Triggered means the trigger was recorded as hit and the setup remains open. Target hit, stopped, expired, and not triggered are terminal states. Historical states are only published when recorded in source data.

Scorecard and R

Entry is assumed to be the trigger price. Long: R = (exit − trigger) / (trigger − invalidation). Short: R = (trigger − exit) / (invalidation − trigger). R is computed from recorded exits; it is never typed manually. Not-triggered setups are excluded from R statistics.

Data sources

Research text comes from the dated research snapshot. TradingView supplies charts and may be delayed. Catalyst dates use primary government or issuer sources. News cards show their source and timestamp.

Not included

No live quotes, brokerage data, accounts, server-stored user data, options pricing, or Greeks are included.

Corrections

Published editions are not silently edited. Corrections are appended to the affected edition with a date.
